06/02/2009: A busy year for Christophe ! Christophe's plans for his 21st season in motorsport means that he will have an exceptionally busy year, accumulating airmiles as he crosses the Atlantic to compete in the Grand Am Series.  He will also act as a driving coach for team boss Scott Tucker when he competes in the Ferrari Challenge North America.  In Europe, Bouchut will compete in the LMS series, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.  And he will also continue in his role as test driver for the FIA GT3 European Championship, repeating the role in the Telefonica Speedy GT3 Brasil.    read more
06/02/2009: Promising debut in the Rolex 24 at Daytona Christophe Bouchut returned to the 24 Hours of Daytona - which he won in 1995 - with a Daytona Prototype category BMW Riley, entered by the new team Level5 Motorsports, which he shared with team boss Scott Riley, IRL driver Raphael Matos and Ed Zabinski.  With Bouchut taking the wheel at the start, the car rose steadily up the field, and eventually took the lead.  But unfortunately, first a broken driveshaft, and then a crash from Zabinski resulted in a broken suspension element.  The car finished 19th overall, 9th in class, and was nevertheless a promising start for the team, which will compete in the full Grand Am series.  " I would like to emphasise the exceptional work of everyone in the team, as they all did an impressive job, and this bodes well for our future results.”  Bouchut commented.   read more
31/10/2008: Bouchut sets the pace in Daytona Prototype during October Test Days

The No. 55 DP made its mark during the October Test Days at Daytona International Speedway, preparing for the 2009 season.  Christophe Bouchut set the fastest time on the Tuesday, improving on the pole time from 2008. With very few changes, Bouchut set a quick time after only 24
laps and bested the top pole time from the 2008 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona with a lap time of 1:39.9. With a new set of tires, he ran the fastest lap of the day taking the No. 55 eCommLink BMW Riley Daytona Prototype across the finish line once again.
 
 
"This is a special track," Bouchut stated. "The DP car has taken to it very well and I believe that this car has a promising future ahead in the Daytona Prototype class. We're all very excited to learn more about this car, it's going to be an exciting season for the team in 2009. We're ready to go racing now."

16/10/2008: Congratulations to Bouchut and Larbre Competition, FFSA French GT Champions ! Congratulations to Christophe Bouchut and Larbre Competition, who claimed the 2008 FFSA French GT Championship at Magny-Cours this weekend.  Having led the points since the start of the season, the duo and their Saleen S7R claimed the title after the first of the weekend's two races.  "The aim was to win to strengthen our position.  When I took over the wheel, I thought - I'm going to win this race !" 18/09/2008: Bouchut to drive for Level Five in Rolex final

Today, LevelFive Motorsports announced the signing of driver, Christophe Bouchut, for the seven hour endurance season final. Bouchut, a French-born racer, joins LevelFive with a champion's background. A triple FIA GT Champion, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona and 24 Hours of Spa, Bouchut has developed an array of credentials above and beyond the track. And after Tucker won the Ferrari Challenge at New Jersey Motorsports Park on August 31, there's no doubt that the team will benefit from Bouchut's winning ways. Throughout the season the eCommLink Crawford GT/Ferrari V-8 has performed admirably when all cylinders were clicking, and has effortlessly worked its way up the field with teammates Scott Tucker and Ed Zabinski behind the wheel.

15/09/2008: Bouchut and Maassen third in Brno Christophe Bouchut and Xavier Maassen finished third in the seventh round of the FIA GT Championship, in Brno.  Bouchut qualified the SRT Corvette C6R in fourth position, and led the race for much of the second hour until the final obligatory pit stop and driver change.   “We’ll try to win at the next race in France.  It’s my home race and I’ll be pushing even harder there,” SRT’s Christophe Bouchut commented.   read more
