The scenery is quite superb.  I was extremely pleased to be able to strengthen my leading position in the ALMS classification, and to celebrate my 99th motorsports victory with Scott !  It is very pleasant to work with the whole Level 5 team, which has become, over the last two years, my second family.  A short family holiday will now follow, before heading for Mid Ohio for the next event... the adventure continues...   read more

28/06/2010: Next Stop :Le Castellet Christophe Bouchut will be heading for Le Castellet in the south of France next weekend, for the fourth round of the FIA GT1 World Championship, where he will once again be sharing the nr 37 All Inkl.com Münnich Motorsport Lamborghini Murciélago with Marc Basseng.  “The Circuit Paul Ricard is one of the best I know.  Its fast and safe, and the area around is like being on holiday.  It's always great to drive on this track. It is also the track where I first watched a Formula One Grand Prix, and where I decided to become a racing driver.

“About the Lamborghini's performance on this track, it's a bit hard to answer. The FIA are doing a very good job the performance balance, trying to help some of the slower cars with bigger restrictors, which is the case of the Lambo.  The car will probably be quick because the team All-Inkl did some good testing after Brno and improved the set up for this race, but we will see at the weekend.”   read more
16/06/2010: 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010

Christophe Bouchut has just returned from a long, tiring but globally very satisfying week at Le Mans. “It was a very interesting week for a number of good reasons.  First of all, it marked my return to the top category, LMP1, which meant it was extremely important to be very well prepared after so many years only racing in GT.

"I am very pleased with  my performance, as throughout the week  I was able to do the best lap time of the R10 Kolles Audi cars, either in qualifying or during the race! That is extremely satisfying.  As for the race, it was generally good, until Rodrigues’ accident which took us out of the race.  Our aim had always been to get to the finish,  and if we had managed to keep at the same pace we had set up until the point that we went out, we could have finished as high as fifth !  Even if we’d been able to get the car back to the pits and lost 10 laps for repairs, we could still have managed a top ten finish.  So it’s rather frustrating !  But I think I showed that Christophe Bouchut is still very fast behind the wheel of a LMP1 !”
However, pure performance was not Bouchut’s main aim at Le Mans this year. “My role at Le Mans was to help Scott make the most of his first Le Mans experience, and I think he really enjoyed it.  We worked hard to set up this entry with Kolles, and the week was extremely interesting for the future.  We aim to return even stronger next year, with an LMP1 car.  We may have lost out on a result, but Le Mans remains Le Mans, and globally I am extremely pleased with my comeback to the leading LMP1 class and everything that happened during this week will help us to reach our target in the near future."
